[Review] Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette

Sunset in a palette would be fitting to describe the Yes, Please! by Colourpop.

Before we get into the review, here’s a little background story about Colourpop and me. I was first introduced to this brand a couple of years ago when a bunch of my friends wanted to buy stuff from their website during one of their big sales. Up until recently, I only knew of Colourpop’s lip products (Ultra Mattes/Ultra Satins/Lippiestix). It wasn’t until I saw Jkissa’s review about this palette when I finally took the plunge.

Up front, I’ve only started getting into this whole shadow business recently. I’ve always been the brow pencil + lipstick kinda gal (still am), but this palette definitely peeked my interest because

a) It was on sale (bought it at $12.60 instead of $16.00)*

b) Free shipping*

*note: I bought this palette during one of Colourpop’s many promotions

The Yes, Please palette is a 12 pan warm-toned shadow ranging from mattes to shimmers. The consistency of the shadows are buttery, which also makes em’ easy to blend during application. This is definitely the perfect palette for those looking for a warm-toned range but on a budget.

I’ve got to say, the biggest pull for me about this palette definitely can credited to the red/orangey shades(big cocktails, spoiled, gno). Personally, they’re the perfect grunge-ish red tone that’s suitable for those with light-to-tan skin like me. Also, who can’t deny that delicious lookin yellow shade (mischief) as well as the shimmer shades (louis and butter). The only downside for me was that this palette didn’t come with a mirror, but then again, gurl where else you gon’ get a top performing palette for only $16.00?

You’ll love it: If you’re looking for a warm-toned palette on a budget

You’ll regret it: If you want variety in shades and hate palettes that don’t come with a mirror

Overall, I’ve got no qualms with this palette. Not only are the colours fun to play around with, but they also perform very well. I definitely recommend this palette especially for first-time palette buyers of Colourpop.
